My name is Lawrence Howe. I have a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Brandeis University, Waltham, Massachusetts, USA. Here's my page at the Mathematics Genealogy Project, which gives the title of my thesis, and my advisor. (The phrase "no students known" refers to the fact that I have never been the supervisor of someone else's doctoral dissertation.) Click here for the abstract of an article of mine that was published in the Canadian Journal of Mathematics. (They garbled the abstract, unfortunately, but the article can be downloaded from a link at the bottom of the page.) My research specialty was number theory.
I taught for 4 years at the undergraduate university level at Redeemer University College, Ancaster, Ontario, Canada, teaching 11 different math courses while I was there. After doing other things for a while, I'm now back into mathematics. So far most of my tutoring has been in person, at McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. (See here, where I am listed as a tutor.)
If also do face-to-face tutoring in Hamilton, Ontario. Please feel free to contact me about an "in person" session, if that would be more suitable for you.
